Abstract: The purpose of the project is to develop an Intelligent Neonatal Monitoring System based on temperature and pulse rate data. In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), there are premature babies and other ill babies who need extra care from the doctors, nurses as well as medical supplies. Therefore, an intelligent neonatal monitoring system should be a good solution in order to help them to observe neonates frequently and consistently. This system transmits the vital signs of the neonate such as body temperature and pulse rate to the Internet of Things (IoT) called ThingSpeak. The body temperature and the pulse rate will be detected by LM35 temperature sensor and pulse sensor respectively. These information will be sent to the IoT via ESP8266 Wi-Fi Shield. IoT helps the doctors and nurses to be connected with the neonate’s vital signs and it is helpful in monitoring the neonates at anytime and anywhere through the internet. The percentage difference between LM35 temperature sensor and digital thermometer is less than 3% while the pulse rate can be varied according to the physical activity. This develops system will providing efficiency and reliability which will play a vital role for better care.

Abstract: Nowadays, uses for NFC technology have been emerging day by day, the best application of NFC technology is in the contactless payment system. Similarly, due to various advantages of web application such as ease of maintenance and various user-friendly released version, the demand for new web applications supporting distinctive kinds of gadgets and intentions are persistently. Now different technologies such as Bluetooth, NFC, and BLE are being used for initiating the online payment. Considering the parameters such as cost, more reliability, and increased security, NFC technology is a best-fitted option for initiating the online vehicle toll payment system. Thus, the application of Cloud-based web application along with different IoT devices like Smartphone (having NFC feature) and NFC tag (ISO/IEC 14443) is explained in this paper. Paper the online vehicle toll payment system developed by using NFC technology is used for triggering the vehicle toll payment system supported by the web application.

Abstract: IOT is one of the booming field in forthcoming years and plays a major role in the field of health care. IOT helps in connecting the people by empowering their health and wealth in a smart way through wearable gadgets. Recent improvement in wireless sensor networks have created a new trend in internet of things. Smart health is important application in Internet of things. Patients with abnormal health conditions can be quickly monitored through smart health care system and provide a rapid solution for the patients. This type of solutions can be encountered through wearable gadgets that continuously monitor the activity and condition of the patient in a predictable method. The main aim of this work is to provide an extensive research in capturing the sensor data’s, analyzing the data and providing a feedback to patients based on different health parameters.

Abstract: The Home Automation System is mainly constructed to make it easy for the user nowadays in their household, in this era of automation. The weather monitoring system is used to monitor different weather parameters. This project is a combination of both the ideas to automate the surroundings around the user to make it pleasant and comfortable conditions even if the weather is different. This system is used to cope up with the environmental conditions and make the home comfortable automatically or by just switching it through android app installed in a phone. The system can be operated by blind or disabled people through the voice recognition technique.  A security system is also included to open the door by entering password. The system is cost – effective and flexible with many types of device to be controlled.

Abstract: In this paper, a simple solution allowing continuous actimetry with an uniaxial magnetometer is presented. Worn on the wrist to monitor the forearm tilt, it can estimate the instantaneous metabolic-equivalent-of-task during physical activity. Autonomous acquisition and data transfer are managed by a RadioFrequency Identification chip supporting the Near- Field Communication standard. Thus, the solution can transfer measurements toa NFC enabled device (computer, smartphone, …) that runs a custom algorithm. The algorithm output signal was indirectly calibrated to an accurate calorimetry device to display the real energy expenditure of the user during the physical activity session.

Abstract: The main objective of this project is to develop a simple and cost efficient home automation system with an Android application which would act as a  remote and make at most use of all the appliances that can be connected which would help to simplify daily life. The idea of conserving electricity means to avoid wasting it and its minimum utilization. This means doing simple things like turning off the electrical appliance when any person isabout to leave the room etc. The biggest motivation for the  people to conserve electricity is for the accumulated savings in their energy bills at the end of the year. Now a days due to the Unplugging of fans and lights when it is not in use, most of the energies are wasted. This is happened mainly because most of the switches are located far away from the users. Modern houses are gradually shifting to centralized control system, involving wireless controlled   switches. Basically, every single appliance in your house can be controlled using a remote device. Android based Ehome is an application of embedded system which integrates Android operating system, Arduino controller and the Bluetooth for the implementation of Smart Home. Any Android device can act as a transmitting device

Abstract: Industrial IoT networks deploy heterogeneous IoT devices to meet a wide range of user requirements. These devices are usually pooled from private or public IoT cloud providers. A signi_cant number of IoT cloud providers integrate smartphones to overcome the latency of IoT devices and low computational power problems. However, the integration of mobile devices with industrial IoT networks exposes the IoT devices to signi_cant malware threats. Mobile malware is the highest threat to the security of IoT data, user’s personal information, identity, and corporate/_nancial information. This paper analyzes the efforts regarding malware threats aimed at the devices deployed in industrial mobile-IoT networks and related detection techniques. We considered static, dynamic, and hybrid detection analysis. In this performance analysis, we compared static, dynamic, and hybrid analyses on the basis of data set, feature extraction techniques, feature selection techniques, detection methods, and the accuracy achieved by these methods. Therefore, we identify suspicious API calls, system calls, and the permissions that are extracted and selected as features to detect mobile malware. This will assist application developers in the safe use of APIs when developing applications for industrial IoT networks.

Abstract: Smart transportation safety (STS) envisions improving public safety through a signi_cant paradigm shift for police authority responses on crimes toward a pro-active one. The application of smart surveillance in STS is critical for automatic and accurate identi_cation of events in case of security threats in target environments. Cloud computing reduces costs and high resource consumption of smart surveillance capable STS systems, at the cost of introducing additional latency through far away centralized systems. In this paper, the fog-framework for intelligent public safety in vehicular environment (FISVER) framework applies fog computing in smart video surveillance-based STS to enhance crime assistance in a cost-ef_cient way. Through fog-FISVER, in-vehicle and fog infrastructures support autonomous and real-time crime detection on public bus services. A fog-FISVER laboratory testbed prototype was created and extensive evaluations in a real testbed were performed. Results show that fog-FISVER delivers outstanding system performance and device survivability behavior over typical STS use cases.

Abstract: The health and wellness sector is critical to human society and as such should be one of the first to receive the benefits of upcoming technologies like IoT. Some of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) are connected to IoT networks to monitor the day-to-day activities of the patients. Recently there has been attempts to design new medical devices which monitor the medications and help aged people for a better assisted living. In this paper, one such attempt is made to design a multipurpose portable intelligent device named MEDIBOX which helps the patients take their medications at the right time. This box is a proficient system which maintains the parameters like temperature and humidity in a controlled range recommended by the drug manufacturer and thus maintains the potency of the medicines even if the patient is travelling. Related to this, we have developed a Host Management System (HMS) which is capable of cloud-based installation and monitoring that stores and controls the MEDIBOX functionality for further analysis and future modification in design aspects.
